Wellington Riding Ec Camp 18-19 June 2016 ReportIt was so lovely to meet up with you over the weekend. We made new friends and welcomed old friends too. It really was a super with everything running to plan. We were so lucky with the weather and of course beautiful facilities at Wellington.
It really was a joy to witness so many of you engaging with our coaches, learning, improving and becoming more confident as the weekend went by. The atmosphere was superb with each of you helping one another. Thank you for making it so special for us too. Krista and Bev were fab during our Saturday evening demonstration with Spencer and Andrew. It takes a lot of courage to “show yourself” to one judge let alone 115 of you! Buddy and Big Bird were our perfect choice and we look forward to watching them progress in their competitive career. Thank you Krista and Bev for turning yourselves and your horses out so beautifully, we appreciated it very much. We've received fabulous feedback about our lectures from Dr Adam Jackson and Dr Victoria South of Liphook Equine Hospital. We owe them a huge debt of gratitude for their professionalism and time as well as the most amazing goody bags, thank you! Addington Manor EC Camp 12-13 March 2016 ReportEnormous thanks to our inaugural campers - for being part of it and making it all so worthwhile! It really was a privilege to meet you all and we know you’ve taken away lots to work on with your horses and ponies.
Together we raised a whopping £4,501 for The Brooke. To put it into context you have purchased 450 sets of farrier tools or you have paid for 65 farriers to be trained or you’ve paid for 130 ambulatory services to be set up. That is simply fantastic. Thanks a million. Special thanks to everyone who made it all happen. Our amazing coaches, lecturers, judge, volunteers, sponsors, The Brooke, Woodlander Stud and everyone at Addington who made the weekend such fun while living the 'Education is Everything' ethos. Who are we?Our mission is to provide education and development through the best trainers and the best sports science in a friendly and fun environment to promote harmony between horses and riders.
Our activities will be primarily, but not exclusively, based around Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire and Oxfordshire. ALL activities are open to everyone. There are no membership fees. We cater for all levels from baby green young horse through to grand prix. We host a variety of ridden training clinics, yards visits, gala evenings, conventions, non-ridden lecture demonstrations and our hallmark residential training camps. We welcome and encourage riders, enthusiasts, owners and trainers of all levels and disciplines to join us in learning more about our sport and enjoying our equine partnerships. Above all, we want you and your horse to have enjoyment and mutual respect for each other. During 2016 we will support The Brooke together with other educational charities that put the welfare of the horse first and foremost. We share our passion with like-minded enthusiasts. Our supporters
We are both humbled and delighted to announce the very generous support of the following prestigious organisations:
Our fund-raising activity will benefit Brooke as well as other educational charities supporting equine welfare or making possible the joys and benefits of horsemanship.
Brooke is an international animal welfare charity working to improve the lives of working horses, donkeys, mules and the people who depend on them. Brooke provides veterinary treatment and community programmes across Africa, Asia and Latin America. Brooke’s goal is to increase the number of working animals they help to two million a year by the end of 2016.
